Michigan Field Hockey
Hard work, perseverance and strength of character – that’s what it takes to win eight Big Ten titles and field 33 All-Americans, and that’s what it means to play field hockey at the University of Michigan. To stand among the women of the U-M field hockey team, we go beyond our best, pushing ourselves harder every day to excel in the classroom and to be a champion on the field. During our time here, we train at a truly elite field hockey facility and learn from outstanding coaches – and, of course, we receive the world-class education and support only a top-ranked university like Michigan can provide. Learn more about the people and traditions that make this program special and imagine yourself as a Michigan Wolverine.
“The overarching responsibility of the field hockey program is to educate young women to be successful adults. We base all of our decisions for training, recruiting and discipline on our core values:
“Do the Right Thing. Pursue Excellence. Embrace Hard Work. Put the Team First. Own Your Decisions. Be Courageous. Be Grateful.
“These guiding principles are the foundation for success not only in the classroom and in the community, but also for winning championships.”
