Michigan Men’s Swimming and Diving

Hard work, perseverance and always putting The Team first – that’s what it takes to win 19 national championships and over 80 Olympians. And that’s what it means to compete in swimming and diving at the University of Michigan. As the clock in the corner counts down to the next Olympics, we step onto the blocks or dive off the 10-meter, competing with our teammates at our side. Standing among the men of the U-M swimming and diving team means going beyond our best, both in the pool and in the classroom. During our time here, we train at an elite facility and learn from the best coaches in the sport – and, of course, we receive the world-class education and support only a top-ranked university like Michigan can provide. Learn more about the people and traditions that make this program outstanding and imagine yourself as a Michigan Wolverine.

Team Vision

“At Michigan, we prepare our men and women to change the world for the better. That belief starts with a strong foundation and a set of core values that are instilled within every one of our swimmers and divers. Everything we do, we do as one team, because through the team, great things are possible. We will do things the right way -- the Michigan Way -- from the classroom to the competition pool. We will be physically and mentally tough, and we will work hard to win championships. Above all, we will strive to be the leaders and best in every way.”
