The Michigan Boathouse

World-class facilities and top-of-the-line equipment often foster elite performance. As members of the University of Michigan rowing team, we practice and compete against a backdrop unlike any other, gliding through the pristine waters of picturesque 1,220-acre Belleville Lake. On the shore, the Michigan Boathouse has everything we need to take our training to the next level, providing ample storage space for both competition and training shells, as well as a space for coxswains to maintain and store their equipment. Upstairs, we use the fully-equipped training room, locker facilities and team meeting space to get stronger both physically and mentally. Afterward, we pay a visit to the Wall of Champions in the grand room to bond as a team and be inspired by those who came before. The U-M rowing facilities are some of the best in the nation – and they’re where champions are made.
