Michigan Women’s Track and Field
The University of Michigan women’s track and field team is a breeding ground for success, headlined by eight Olympic athletes and 19 national champions. As Wolverines, we shoulder that illustrious legacy and carry it with pride, shaping tradition with every victory. But being a part of the University of Michigan women’s track and field team is about so much more than running or jumping or personal bests – it also provides the kinds of opportunities and friendships that make the college experience special. Here, we practice with women who will become our lifelong friends, and we develop skills that will stick with us long after we’ve graduated. We receive coaching, training and guidance that’s personalized to help us meet our goals, both as an athlete and as a student. Explore everything the University of Michigan has to offer, and imagine yourself competing in Maize and Blue.
“The Michigan women’s track and field team is focused on family, closeness and trust within the program. The top priority is to develop student-athletes into independent, professional, confident young women by the time their careers in Maize and Blue are through. Here, academics come first, then athletics. In your professional career, you should mirror what you do on the track, implementing all the lessons you picked up along the way while maximizing your potential and pushing yourself to be the best you can possibly be.”
