Michigan Women’s Track & Field
As competitors for Michigan women’s track and field, we work constantly to become the Leaders and Best with each race, each throw, each jump. We’re elite athletes as individuals, but we never lose sight of the fact that personal success wouldn’t be possible without a rock solid team. We strengthen that team by working daily to sharpen our focus, becoming faster and stronger, and developing communication and leadership skills, so that our trust in one another shows when we compete. We truly want to give everything we have for our teammates, supporting one another through challenges and celebrating accomplishments – because that’s what families do. With our track and field family, we’re ready to face challenges in the classroom and provide support for our community. See what it’s like to represent the Maize and Blue as a member of the women’s track and field team.
“Michigan is more than a University, it's a home. The track and field program is more than a team, it's a family. It is and has been a privilege and honor to be a part of this family and I look forward to being a part of it for life. Your family membership doesn't end when you leave 'home' and that's something I was able to see in my four years in Ann Arbor. As a part of this program, you gain mentors and sisters that put you first. They care about your well-being and your academics (because the ultimate goal is a degree) in addition to you as an athlete, and that type of support is priceless. We have coaches that want to build positive citizens and members of society wrapped inside of competitive, strong, winning athletes and those lessons together leave us poised and respected by all on and off the track.”
