Boasting an impressive 11 Big Ten titles, 21 NCAA champions, 184 All-Americans, 125 Big Ten champions and five Olympians, wrestling is one of the the University of Michigan’s most decorated teams – and with state-of-the-art facilities and outstanding coaches at hand, the future is bright for the Wolverines. As a student-athlete, that future becomes our future. We work hard, day in and day out, to uphold the Michigan tradition and represent the Block M with pride and integrity, and give support to each other. While coaches help us grow mentally, fostering leadership skills and team values, a team of performance specialists helps us develop physically, preparing us to take on the challenges that come with competing as an elite athlete. Off the mat, faculty and academic advisors guide us as we navigate the academic world and become involved in student life in Ann Arbor, one of the nation’s most vibrant college towns. Explore the University of Michigan wrestling program, and imagine competing for the Maize and Blue as a Wolverine.
Our goal for the Michigan wrestling program is to provide our student-athletes with a challenging but rewarding experience that will prepare them for future success. Wearing the Block M is a privilege, and we take great pride in the tradition paved by those who came before us. We want student-athletes who are willing to sacrifice and commit to being part of something special and pursue excellence on the mat and in the classroom.
